Hand Painted O Gauge BackdropsThe train depot painted on this o-gauge model train backdrop is the historic depot at Yates City, Illinois. You'll see a small red house in the distance which was my paternal grandparents home in Yates City, Illinois. Grandpa Richard "Dick" Coulter was employed by the Chicago Burlington Quincy railroad for many years as a section foreman. I decided to include these landmarks in this hand painted o-gauge railroad backdrop for sentimental reasons.
Here is another view of the same scene from a different direction. The depot backdrop is coming straight toward you now, so you won't see it. Notice the tiny red arrow at the top of this photograph to show you where the scene (shown above) is located on the picture (shown below). This will give you a better idea about how the decking is laid out.
